Contemporary Educational Challenges of Adolescence from a Christian Perspective

Abstract

The current pedagogical challenges of adolescence are one of the most pressing issues facing the world today. How can young people, parents, priests and religious edu-cators respond to these challenges? This topic, one could say, contains two perspec-tives. One is that of change: it is about the educational challenges of today, which are different from those experienced by young people in the past. This refers in par-ticular to the rapid technological progress, the digital and green transition and the everyday changes in the world of the labor market with all their consequences. The answer is sought to the question of how, with all these challenges, young people can form and maintain their Christian identity and in what way can they be helped? The second perspective on this topic has been unchanging since the beginning of the world. It offers us an answer to all the educational challenges of adolescence. It is faith in God, obedience to His Word, the formation of conscience and living in accordance with the teachings of the Church. In all of this, there is an obligation to help young people and guide them in developing and living Christian values.
