The current burning issues such as indissolubility of marriage, the possibility of giving the divorced access to the sacraments, homosexual unions etc., caused uncertainty, ambiguity, confrontations and different understanding. The authors approach these issues from theological-pastoral and spiritual-educational point of view. Socio-cultural context is analysed and righteousness of theological-pastoral approach to the indissolubility of marriage and the possibility of giving the divorced access to the sacraments is examined. Understanding of the early Church and the Church Fathers is evaluated through patristic study taking into consideration the continuity of the Church doctrine and cultural context. Referring to the XIV Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishop on The Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and the Contemporary World, the authors present difference between contemporary theological viewpoints and the teaching of the Church.
